So I had a few questions thrown at me like, "What's this song about?" and "I don't really get which side you're on". I wrote the song this year and as the video shows, it's about the struggle for justice. Without taking a side, (that's right I cop out and choose the high road! phhbbt!) I chose to comment on the cost of the struggle as a caution. What's left inside is a question - after you do all this, are you sure you want to know what you're left with? The video was created to specifically NOT pick a side. For every kid who's read Farenheit 451 (and believe me I'm not comparing my little song to a classic by Bradbury) everyone is so sure of what they are doing and the direction they're going, until they aren't. I enjoy the questions and comments about what the song and video means to them. Like all things in life, the song is what you make it.
